Shark cartilage, extracted from the fins and heads of sharks, is a type of elastic connective tissue found in the animal's skeletal system.
Shark cartilage is comprised of collagen, which gives it strength, and complex sugar molecules, which promote resilience. It's value for human health was first discovered decades ago, in the 1950s.
