Description

The Herbs in ESSIAC normalize body systems by purifying the blood, promoting cell repair, and aiding effective assimilation and elimination. When combined, their separate beneficial effects are enhanced.

BURDOCK ROOT (Arctium lappa) Used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to treat cancer. Recently Japanese researchers discovered in it a new kind of desmutagen, uniquely capable of decreasing cell mutation and inhibiting tumors. It also reduces mucus and prevents formation of gall and kidney stones. Its vitamin A and selenium help eliminate free radicals and its chromium content helps regulate blood sugar level.

SLIPPERY ELM (Ulmus fulva) The inner bark, rich in calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A, B, C, K feeds and soothes organs, tissues and mucus membranes, and is especially helpful to the lungs. It also helps neutralize acids from indigestion and relieves asthma.

SHEEP SORREL (Rumex acetosella) A traditional folk remedy for cancer, sheep sorrel is also used as a treatment for inflammation, cancer treatment, diarrhea, scurvy and fever. A tea made from the stem and leaves can be made to act as a diuretic. It also has certain astringent properties and uses.

INDIAN RHUBARB ROOT (Rheum officinale) The rhubarb root exerts a gentle laxative action by stimulating the secretion of bile into the intestines. It also stimulates the gall duct to expel toxic waste matter, thus purging the body of waste bile and food. As a result, it is alleged that the liver is cleansed and chronic liver problems are relieved. Rhubarb root contains vitamin A, many of the B complex, C, and P; calcium, chlorine, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, silicon, sodium, sulfur, and zinc.

Overcoming Chemo Side-Effects
I have ovarian cancer, and have had two rounds of chemotherapy. I started drinking Essiac Tea a couple of years after therapy. Now since I have been drinking the tea, my energy level has increased dramatically. I am now able to take care of my home, cook, shop, and enjoy going out. There is no doubt in my mind that Essiac Tea has made me feel better than ever in the past years. I recommend it to every one whether they are ill or well.
